What are the prerequisites for federal jobs?

I am an engineering student from India pursuing my course in ETC. Are there jobs which require no prerequisites?

  Thanks for A2A By the term "prerequisites" I am assuming you are referring to the various courses that students join during their summer vacations to gain knowledge and in turn add stars to their CV. The thing is companies aim to make as much profit as they can spending minimum resources. If they find a candidate who is already well familiar with the concepts of DBMS, JAVA etc, he/she will be a much valuable asset for the company as he/she will require minimal training to start the job. This candidate will be preferred over the one who is not remotely aware of these concepts and thus will consume company resources more than the former one during training. Now companies do impart training of the necessary courses that are required to perform the job but its not that exhaustive in comparison to what we study during college or in summer course. The above explanation holds correct in the case of an IT company visiting your college. Although if you are aiming for a core company of your branch, all they care about is your knowledge in your particular field and your basic aptitude-reasoning => problem solving skills. Of course all that you need to know about the job will be taught during training.
