How is the safety of women situation in less talked about states like MP, Rajasthan, Odisha and Chattisgarh, especially in rural areas?

• Are the number of incidents of rape, molestations and eve teasing on decline? Are the guilty being nabbed and punished quicker? Do women overall feel much secure compared to rest of India. I ask this because I see states and incidents being picked only selectively in media. While highlighting each incident is important, the media itself need to be questioned because they have a responsibility to state the truth without bias. The governments of UP and Maharashtra are quite useless when it comes to safety of women in India. But are the governments of MP, Rajasthan, Odisha or Chattisgarh any better? Especially in rural area. It would be very useful to get the opinion of women from these areas.

  I am a resident of MP and till date I have heard very few cases of rape in my city INDORE. I am 19 and rape cases that i have heard of are maybe 2-3. And most of indoreans will agree with me. And yeah the numbers of rape in states like MP and Rajsthan are significantly lower than that of Delhi-up-maharashtra.
