How do you study biology?

"Mignon Fogarty has a B.A. in English from the University of Washington in Seattle and an M.S. in biology from Stanford University." How can someone study biology at the masters level without studying undergraduate biology?

  • To draw a metaphorical analogy, I thought the alphabets (of biology) are taught in high school, words at the undergraduate level and sentence construction at the masters level. So, how can someone construct sentences without knowing the words?

  • Answer:

You may end up studying more credits than required. You can avail summer program to clear the pre-requisite subjects. You sit with the counsellor of the school to decide your academic program. You can set up an interview anytime with the counselor and discuss your case. Some counselors will ask you to take a test prior to admitting you.
