  Go to the DSHS and talk to them about sitting down with someone to talk about resources. They will be able to help you hands on. I pulled the DSHS example just off the top of my head. The point is there are places that will give you free employment search help. The public library typically has some resources. Go to a temporary employment agency, you might have to start low on the totem pole but the nice thing about temp agencies is that you technically work for them so you get your foot in the door at some low end job, work hard for 90 days, and then tell the temp agency that you want to see what other options there are. Because you were a good employee at the last place they put you, they might be able to place you in a better position the second time. Repeat as necessary. Volunteer at a place that is involved in whatever field you want to go into. The experience you gain there can be used on your resume and most volunteer organizations have some paid staff. I got a job this way once. It really depends on how much you want to make.
