Do people with autism or aspergers act selfish?

  • Answer:

Hard to answer because it is also a trait of being young. You did not mention your age? At around 15 people start to grow out of that stage. There are such people with autism who are that way, but diagnosis can be difficult for those who are high functioning and a bit older. Since you must be around 15 and have not been called out on other behavior problems common to autism I doubt you have it. The school and teachers would have demanded you get tested for it by now as over two-thirds of your childhood is now over. Someone would have noticed.

If you are asking whether you have aspergers, you probably don't. Saying that you feel selfish and caring about it means that you think about other people's feelings, so probably not.
