How long are emails stored on the server?

Louis Learner's emails suddenly missing because of a hard drive crash? How does this even make sense since emails aren't stored locally?

To answer your question; The fact that e-mails were lost is laughable at face value.....Govt computers are backed up daily. This is concerted effort by the corrupt Obama admin to cover his rump.

They are not lost they were intentionally destroyed and that is a criminal offense, the E-mails were under subpoena and there will be repercussions.

or, maybe, someone on the inside 'hacked' the system to prevent those emails from surfacing ... it sure is interesting that no one has come forward to say that they corresponded with Ms. Lerner on any subject of interest to Congress, isn't it? Seems to me that they're all cowering under their desks hoping they won't be caught and fired.

You're right it doesn't make sense, clearly the IRS feels they have something to hide and have destroyed evidence. That being said lets not pretend like this is the first time this type of thing has happened, we all remember the infamous "I don't recall" defense. I am consistent though, I don't appreciate either side lying whether I voted for them or not.

The IRS had been saying for months how it will turn over the E-mails. After the foot-dragging has worn itself out, now they are gone? How many times have you heard about the FBI going in to seize records of a mobbed-up business, only to find they were "burglarized" the night before and those records are now missing?
