Since community colleges do not have dormitories – everyone is a commuter. I believe the only place people would meet would be a common area, or quietly in the library, or at the dining hall. Even at this level, it will be more difficult than in high school. You will be doing a lot of writing, and most likely you will need to read your textbooks ahead of time. It will be two short years, so you don't have to worry about making a lifelong friend. Focus and try to do well so you will transfer to a good four year university. Your future will depend on it.
