What is the ideal conformation for a jumper?

What do you think of this TB’s conformation?

  • http://www.equinenow.com/horse-ad-786436 Do you think she would make a good hunter/jumper based on her conformation, or what discipline does it LOOK like she would be best suited ...show more

  • Answer:

No I don't think she's perfect, but she has a lot going for her. Overall she is in good condition, though slightly knife-necked, her neck is a good length though. Her head is not small and delicate (though not grossly big or anything). It's hard to tell from this photo but I would think she toes out, severely in the (off / horses right side) rear foot, and both front feet. From the look of it. But for $1000 she is a fair price. She's suited for local /open showing in all the English disciplines. She could also make a nice barrel prospect.
