Is piano easier to play than guitar?

What instrument is easier to play for a 11 year old? Guitar or piano?

    it depends on what your goals are. the piano is "easier" to play in the sense that when you hit the key, you hear the note. Guitar is a little more complicated in the sense that you have to use you left hand to fret the note, then your right hand to actually play the note. Also, some chords are more difficult to play correctly and make sound good, especially at first. if your goal is to be able to play an instrument and sing a few songs from time to time, guitar will let you reach that goal sooner, as you can learn 5 chords and play dozens, if not hundreds of songs and sing along to them. if your goal is being able to pick up some sheet music and play it, then I strongly recommend piano. also, 11 is young. pick one, and after a year if you hate it, switch. If you love it, then just start the other one for a fun challenge and to expand your musical horizons.

There is no simple answer for that. Some people find guitar easier; some people find piano easier, but for either one, it depends on how good you want to be. There is no way to tell you how long it would take you to learn. Some people continue learning the rest of their lives.

Ok so it is going to be a debatable choice So why not make your decision on the one you have more desire to do, which one do you prefer to do?, because that is likely to be the one you will, find easier to do because that is what you will enjoy more and get greater satisfaction, making music is about creativity and should be a pleasure not a chore
