    Possibly. Let's say I hand you a Stradivarius violin and told you to play it. You would probably sound awful because you wouldn't know what you had to do to make this instrument sound good. There is nothing wrong with the VIOLIN, in other words. There may be some people who manage to get pretty sounds out of it through trial-and-error, just as you figured out how to play the piano by ear. However, if someone TAUGHT you exactly what you had to do to play the violin, you would eventually discover that you have quite a beautiful instrument after all. Just like someone could teach you how to use the voice you have. Keep in mind, that some people are just that more talented than others. I don't know if this might be aptitude in performing certain tasks or what, but there are people who will be able to play that Strad better than others who might even study with the same instructor. Likewise, even a highly skilled violinist playing an inferior instrument, may only sound tolerably good. The instrument will not allow the violinist to progress any further because the instrument itself won't respond or sound the way a better instrument would. Also this can be applied to voices. You can only train the voice you have. It won't give you someone else's. If you luck out on the genetic goody basket, then you might find out that with lots of hard work and training with an excellent teacher, that you can sing things you never thought you were capable of. However, you cannot teach yourself what you don't really know. As "natural" as the piano is to you, I am willing to bet you have, or will have, hit a point that you can't progress further. You need a piano teacher to teach you techniques you may not even be aware of that will allow you to play even better than you do now.

Obviously, people learn things at different rates. On top of that, some people know how to maximize their practice time. It's possible that you will learn quickly, but this is NOT natural talent. It doesn't exist. There will be a time when everything clicks, or it will come gradually. It varies from person to person. So no, it's not possible to be naturally good, but it's possible to learn really quickly IF 1) you have the right trainer 2) you practice correctly AND EFFICIENTLY 3) you practice consistently 4) you put all your dedication into singing

Yes, you can be naturally talented with almost any creative arts you have in mind. I was naturally talented like you. I could sing, but I don't like my voice to this day. But I was sort of thrust into it. I learned to play guitar and keyboard by age 12. I taught our drummer how to keep a beat. I guess I am multi-talented. Good at most things an expert at none. lol The lead vocal in our band quit and went into the military. We had several gigs at the time and I wanted to go through with it.So I dared to sing. Much to my surprise, people began giving me compliments that I sang better than the guy who was singing with us before. I went on to record a couple of CDs back then. And I was on the radio and everything. Yet I don't consider myself a singer to this day. But you can become a lot better if you train your voice. I never did. But I should have. We finally disbanded and it does not interest me that much any longer. I say go for it.

techniques can be learned that might make you better, but you've got it or you don't. That's what auto tune was invented for, all those that don't.
