Am i the only one who hates avenged sevenfold and new metal?

There's plenty of good modern metal, just like how there's plenty of good modern music in general. The only difference now is that you have to try harder to look for it. You'll find plenty of people of all ages who agree that Avenged Sevenfold is pretty bad.

modern metal isn't just A7X and Asking Alexandria, if you bother to look beneath the surface layer of just scene shlt that teens like you could find hundreds of great bands from the current era. I'm 32 and I really want to know, can you listen to Gojira and say that new metal sucks? How about Trap Them, Stam1na, Dillinger Escape Plan, etc? **first it was classic rock kids complaining about pop music, now it's 80's thrash/death metal kids complaining about modern metal, basically every time a kid says something about music it irritates me, you're all ignorant little dipshlts and I want you to shut up.

I don't absolutely hate the newer styles,but I prefer the older styles like you mentioned.Check out newer bands like Warbringer ,Toxic Holocaust,Demiricous,Devil Driver.

If you like bands like Overkill, Destruction, and Slayer. Why didn't you just ask for new Thrash Metal bands? Avenged Sevenfold is shít, I'll give you that though.

There is plenty of good metal that has been released in the last decade, although what I've found has mostly been older bands, traditional heavy metal revivalists, and doom metal (not saying that there's not good stuff in other fields, but this is mostly what I've found). Newer thrash is not something I'm familiar with. For good, recent metal releases, look at Hibria (Defying the Rules), Triptykon, Celtic Frost, Candlemass, Briton Rites, Hell (Human Remains, I know it's actually 80's music), and Darkthrone.

You're right. Avenged are terrible, but believe me, there are worse bands out there. Good metal still exists, you just have to have a quick look around.
