I remember my uncle writing out (on a typewriter years ago) over 800 resumes because he had lost his job. Took him a long time to do it but eventually it paid off. I myself tend to print out about 50 when I'm unemployed and don't stop handing them out until I've found a job I want. At current, GO OUT to the business you want a job with and talk directly to the managers. Less than 1% of jobs are found online. Post your resume online but it's much more effective to walk around the mall or a corporate office with a resume and ask if the hiring manager is around.
