  HR degree, four years plus graduate degree if you want to move into a director or VP positions. HR is always looking for someone who can handle themselves in tough situations, is able to communicate effectively and has the ability to listen and find solutions. With a background in security have you thought about moving into risk management? Used mostly by large organizations that have moveable inventory, have warehouses or workforces. You could be involved in establishing effective internal controls, procedures or security investigations. Just a thought
