No. If someone applying for a PA job in my office doesn't know that they just spent 6-8 years of their life becoming a Physician Assistant, not a physicians assistant, I don't want them. Attention to detail is MANDATORY in most PA jobs, especially if they are serious support in a specialized department. If someone knows it's Physician Assistant and I need an NP, it would likely depend on fellowship, past experience, and state laws.
