    Most health care programs are VERY VERY competitive to get into. If you screwed up in high school but can pull it together for college, then look for programs that require bachelor degrees and only judge you on your college performance. If you can pull off a 3.6+ GPA and have a strong resume, then your prospects look better. If you can't pull that kind of GPA off, for whatever reason, then shorter course tech degrees may be more your speed, or expensive private programs that accept nearly everyone. BTW, in health care, no path is guaranteed to be only daytime. If you the only job available is overnights at the hospital, you take it. Once you pay your dues and get experience, you can be more picky about your employment. Good Luck.
