If you're a PC gamer, you really should have a Steam account (steampowered.com) It's an online store & community for PC games. Your parents should sign up and create a sub-account for you. That way they can control what you play, and they don't have to worry about you charging their credit card left and right. Steam carries most of the big games, except those from EA, since they have their own online store (called Origin.) If your parents are worried about violent games, there are still plenty of other games to play under puzzle and strategy titles. If you like Minecraft you should check out Terraria. SimCity(4) is a classic game in which you attempt to build and design a city for your little sim-citizens. Civilization 4 or 5 is a classic strategic game in which you take on the role of a great leader and attempt to lead your civilization from ancient times, and into the future while fighting off other civilizations trying to do the same thing.

My 14yo daughter plays Assassin's Creed II and Skyrim, and so do I. But I guess that makes me the coolest mom ever. Or the worst mom, I guess, according to your parents. Skyrim is violent, but not as bad as some games (or movies or tv). There's very little sexual content, and as far as games for women, I think Skyrim is fantastic because you play through as a female and still be equal to every man in the game. In fact, when you get married, your husband will stay home with the kids and cook for you. lol Assassin's Creed II was violent -- it is about an assassin, after all -- and there's a little bit of sexual content, but I didn't think it was horrible "for women." I won't let her play GTA or Red Dead Redemption, yet. She does play some capture the flag/team warfare games... I don't think we have COD but we've had others like that. My daughter absolutely loves Valkyria Chronicles (not sure if that's for PC, she plays on PS3), Garry's Mod prop hunt, Portal, Octodad, Long Live the Queen, Sims, and Democracy, and she also plays Minecraft and Terraria. I second PoohBearPenguin's suggestion of getting on Steam.
