How to use Diamond VC500 One Touch Video Capture Device to record Wii U game play?

I have no clue how to use anything and I wanna know before i buy anything. If there are any tutorials please link them!

You will have to have the Wii U output with AV cables (same that came bundled with a Wii), which means you are now limited to 480i output. Instead of plugging the cables into a TV, plug them into the composite female end of the unit, then plug the USB end into a computer with video capture software installed. The computer should see it as a webcam with audio and video passed in from the Wii U. Then record with whatever webcam recording software you are familiar with. If you want to record the 1080p video, you will need to spend more money on better recording hardware and a capture card that accepts HDMI.
