    If you're using wireless, try wired if possible. If wired isn't an option, then be sure you're entering the wireless information properly. Something else you can do is use a static IP address instead of automatic. So select Manual for IP Address when going through the settings.

reset the router to factory settings instead of just a reboot ( the reset button is on the router ) now set it up so it uses wpa security and a good password , set upnp to enabled and you should be good to go

Use a wired connextion. Seriously. The ps3 has a terrible time even connecting to a good Internet connection. It's better to used wired anyway, there's less of a chance for connection drops and in some cases you'll get better connection speeds as well
