What wireless router should i get for my xbox 360?

If i bought a linksys wireless router for my Xbox 360, would I be able to get online without the linksys being hooked up to a computer?

Well if you buy a wireless router I think you will need to connect it to your computer to add a password and change the name of your wireless router. Changing the name and adding a password is optional but would you want anyone using your wifi? The name of my wifi is 'GET YOUR OWN WIFI!!' Your router must be connected to the modem. I can disconnect my router right now from my computer and i can still play my xbox360 online. did this help?

my question is why don't you have an internet connection of your own ? if I found someone piggy backing on my internet service I'd block'em too. So 1 you will need to get the internet connect to your house, the internet service provider(ISP) will provide you with a router, you then use your Xbox to search for the wireless router, and connect and then enter the password on the router to connect to the internet.
