Is there a way to make my facebook profile unsearchable?

  • I hear that now there is no option to really make your facebook profile completely private. Is there still some way to make it so randoms can't search for you by name, etc...?

    Two options, set everything to private, or don't enter personal info on FB. I've done the latter, no one can get any info about me from my Facebook page that have not entered, other than the games and the few groups I follow. They other option is to start a new FB page, and delete the one you don't want anyone seeing/searching.

Besides changing privacy settings to Friends Only or certain info to Only Me, you can't really do that. You could if you deleted your account though. Then your Facebook is technically "hidden" and no one can look up your name, but the flaw is you wouldn't have Facebook.

The closest you can get is making it private friends only. When people go to search for your name it will show up but they won't be able to see any personal info or your timeline or anything without a friends request. Basically it will just show them your name and I think your profile picture but that is it.
