Soaking in warm/hot water before waxing legs?

I read about how it's easier to pluck hair if you've soaked in warm/hot water for 10-20 minutes or applied a hot cloth over the area. Would this also help with waxing? I ...show more

I had never heard about this. Actually, I had heard it's easier if you do the opposite and just use the cold to numb the area a bit. Maybe warming it up opens up your pores and the hair comes out easier because of that?
