Answer:
If your congenital condition is not the result of a muscle condition I don't know what benefit a muscle relaxant like flexeril would have for you. What about hydrotherapy to strengthen your muscles? Exercising in a pool is a great way to build up muscle strength and flexibility without causing you knee and/or ankle problems from running. The water works great for resistance. Another way to attack the type of problem you are talking about is through the use of antidepressant medications. I broke my neck many years ago and have problems throughout my spine as a result. I am forced to use opiates as I have a high resistance to pain and pain meds. My doctor prescribed Elavil (amitriptyline) an old school tricyclic antidepressant. It helps to break the pain-depression cycle. As a benefit it also induces sleep. There are an abundance of medications that might be of benefit to you. I have provided you with links to the Mayo Clinic and WebMD so you can educate yourself. I have much experience with 800 mg Ibuprofen tabs that I take for the musculoskeletal problems related to the damage to my spine. The school of thought used to be that 1800 mg's/ 600 x 3 per day for the optimal anti-inflammatory effect. There are many other NSAID's out there. How about a non opiate pain medication like tramadol? Hope this helps you. Best of luck. Talk with your doctor and make sure you are heard. Remember... doctor's have a license to "practice medicine"!!

Hello, no, I have never heard of it before although anything is possible. I deal with chronic pain daily and don't know how I would make it without my Soma to stop the spasms at the hardware in my back. I would talk to your doctor. You find no information because it is a completely rare reaction that hasn't happened often enough for it to be studied. You should leave it alone and try a tiny sample of another to see if you have the same reaction. Leave the Ibuprofen out of the mix. Then see what happens. Good luck.
