OMG... there is no such thing as magic.

Black magic only works on gullible, superstitious or otherwise susceptible victims. It's all in the mind. You can curse me and put the evil eye on me as much as you like and it won't work.

Magic is in itself colourless, it is the intent that is said to be "black" when it is performed in order to harm or manipulate. This is part of the Abrahamic dualist view that insists that what is not light, bright, white, clean, good, beneficial, etc., etc. must be dark, black, murky, dirty, bad, evil, etc. It doesn't make sense, but this is how it is in some religions.
