Is a bleeding sore on my external ear bad?

My ear is bleeding? How bad is that?

  I don't think it is good to be bruised and bleeding. Something isn't fitting right. Is there some reason you can't use a cushioned ear bud, or go to an over-the-ear type headphone? With some of the newer styles, and the new technology headphones are really comfortable and provide excellent sound. You don't say how old you are, but it is a good idea to be kind to your body because it has to last a long while. :-)
