  A mild scenario: you have a mild infection and perhaps some granulation tissue build-up that will continue to re-bleed when traumatized. Try gentle scrubbing with hydrogen peroxide then an antibacterial soap and rinse, followed by an antibiotic ointment, leaving the plugs out. If that doesn't work, see a doctor. If the bleeding is more active, you need to see a doctor to rule out a clotting/bleeding disorder.
