Answer:
Call your local schools and ask them. However there's many other ways to gain a social life: Acting class Church youth group Karate class Sports teams Girl Scouts Homeschooling groups American heritage girls Boy Scouts Choir Boys and girls club of america Conventions Co-op Google what of these is available in your town and what you think would suit you best. You CAN have a social life while homeschooling. It's a choice.

Don't all teenagers feel weird? If your school district has a "Dual Enrollment" program, then legally you may participate: (6) Home education students may participate in dual enrollment programs in accordance with the provisions of s. 1007.27(4) and 1007.271(10). http://a2zhomeschooling.com/laws/united_states/florida_home_school_laws/ Check your local newspaper for news and event listings that might interest you. Join some of the clubs and organizations. This is how adults make friends in their communities. We used to have a "study hall" at our house for neighborhood kids, homeschooled or not. They'd just appear after school, have some snacks, then everyone would do about an hour of work, and then they were free to play, swim, play video games, go to the park to play ball, etc. Their parents had to give permission first, and share in the snack expenses. As most of the other parents were working, and otherwise the school kids probably would just have to be home alone, this was win-win for everyone. My "lonely homeschooled kid" had a neat group of friends, everyone did better by getting their homework done, and some solid friendships were formed.
