  Oh, I don't know if any of us know the answer - it would depend on the school's policy, so they're the ones to ask. Usually in a particular class, the teacher sort of balances the grades for the various papers, quizzes, tests, and projects, to combine them into a final grade for the class. I think most likely you'd get a lower grade, rather than fail the course, unless the teacher's really keen on the value of the collaborative assignments. In any case, though, why not give it your best? Can you do at least *some* of those collaboratives? If you can, see if there's at least something you could realistically do in the time left; and if you wish, check with the teacher: some teachers are sympathetic, and might offer some alternative thing you could do instead.
