Any mechanic should be able to sort this easily, it doesn't require a Vauxhall dealer. With a test lamp or meter check that power actually reaches the switch when it should do. Okay? Then test whether power leaves the switch when operated. No? Switch is duff. Yes? If power leaves the switch when operated, does it arrive at the lock? Yes? Then the lock is duff.
