Answer:
Acting can be fun - but only for maybe 5% of the time. The rest is very hard work. The statistics are that out of every 100 auditions a drama school graduate applies for, they're lucky to get invited to attend one or two. And out of every 100 they get to attend, they might win one or two small roles, each lasting just a day or two. In a whole year, the average actor gets two or three weeks paid acting work in total. The rest of the time they all work in ordinary jobs - they just don't go around telling anyone! If you really want to try, knowing how hard it's going to be, get into a good acting school in your free time and start learning. If you progress from basic classes to intermediate and then to advanced within a few years, maybe you have some talent and could take it further. If you join a good community theatre and you always get leading roles, again you can assume that you have talent. After that, try to get into a good university-level course and study acting. After you graduate, you might be able to get an agent, who might be able to find you some auditions, and if you're really good, and really lucky, you might get the occasional job.

If you WANT to be an actor, take acting classes. You can generally just do a search on the internet, and you'll find we're acting classes are available and the times ect, and you can sign up for a FEE. Once your confident in you're ability, start looking for some work. You could join a production company and get experience, as they host monthly productions. Likewise, your acting classes will often have info on upcoming auditions. You can start acting at any age. One of the perks of acting, is that it's anyone's game. There are roles for anyone and anything, and it's a skill that you doesn't decrease with age, provided you keep practicing. A lot of big actors, contrary to popular belief, start acting late in their careers. Brad Pitt for example dropped out of uni to pursue acting are year out from completing his degree. It is fun? that depends. If you enjoy acting and drama and such, then sure it's fun. But becareful. Assess why you wanna be an actor. If it's for the money and the fame, the high profile lifestyle. Then stop, you won't make it. If you actually have a passion for the art of acting, then go for it. The reason is, is that acting is cut throat. Less then 1% percent make it big, and these are only the best of the best. For everyone else, they generally live week by week, constantly looking for work, travelling, taking all sorts of roles. It's that competitive. Most people spend their whole life searching for their big 'break', but never get it. Generally speaking, if you're doing acting because you don't wanna do anything else, and it seems 'fun', find something else. Like ways, for the average actor, the pay isn't good. In fact, it's bad. The Acting industry, along with music, has the highest income discrepancy of any profession. That is, the difference between the income of the 'best' and 'most' successful actors, is so far above that of the average actor. Only do acting if you truly want to, and you have a passion for it. If you do it for any other purpose, you won't make it.
Trying My Best
If your school has a drama club-- join it! Get involved with any play they may be hosting--even if it's just helping with the set. You'll learn a lot from the other members and you will become better and better. Practice, or maybe even take individual classes if you're really serious. I'm not into acting, but I've seen my schools play and they all seem like they're having fun (as long as it's something you like to do)... There's lots of opportunities, just gotta look for em, even if you're not going up on stage right away
