There is an 11 woman monologue show called TALKING WITH... written by Jane Martin. One of the monologues is entitled 'Marbles'. The piece is about a young girl who lost her mother to cancer. During the monologue, she drops a marble to illlustrate her excalting feelings about her loss. It is very powerful when done well.
