Look closely at the qualifications and experience of the tutors at any school you are considering. If they have not worked extensively in the industry it would be better to go elsewhere. There are many schools set up to part passionate, highly motivated young people from their money. Generally speaking, to become "marketable", you will need to spend some years at a good school, or do a number of courses run by professionals recognised widely in the industry. Acting is a business and agents have absolutely no interest in people with minimal training and big dreams. Their income depends on your ability to secure work at audition. They tend to rely on fully trained professionals, with decent resumes, good headshots and great industry knowledge and experience.
