Is it possible to catch fish in a swampy lake?

I have used many luers and cannot catch a trophy bass i fish on 8-10 acre private lake in Florida with swamp?

    This is just one guys opinion, but I think if you truly want to catch a "trophy" bass I would opt for live bait. A live, 6- to 8-inch shad nose-hooked with NO weight, to be specific. The edge of weed beds could serve as good bass territory. There will nothing be as exciting as seeing your shad squirm, while a 5+ pound bass swallows it and heads straight down into cover. This is just personal preference, but I like using spinning gear when free-lining bait because I feel it can make the baitfish land very light and subtle into the water.
