Well, it depends on what position you play. But it's important that you train and keep a healthy life. I can tell you that 70% of the professional players in the world are based more in discipline than talent. You need to eath healthy, drink a lot of water, rest, be applicated at training and watch a lot of soccer. Usually kids watch players like ronaldo or messi and try to do the same, but you can't train talent. Or they see ronaldinho making a pass with his back and try to do that, training it for weeks...there is no point. Try to practice dribbling or shooting against a wall. Most of soccer is about dominating the ball, so you have to learn where to impact the ball to go where you need it. And it's also about mechanics, is about "telling your body" how to move. By kicking a ball to a wall (like, 10 steps away from it, at most) I've learned how to use my left foot (I'm right-footed "naturally"). If you see me play, you couldn't tell what my natural foot is, because I taught my left leg how to kick and dribble, and I can do it both with almost no difference between legs. When you watch football, ignore the highlights or the flashy plays, learn what is common in the game, how to pass, hoy to control the ball, how to position your foot for the first touch, how to look at the entire field and be aware of your teammates positioning (you can watch Xavi in this video watch it once to see what it points out, and then watch it again just looking at Xavi's head). Finally, every time you watch professionals, look for "inspiration", not to "copy". As weird as it might sound, soccer is "art", you can't thrive in art by copying other artists, because not only they made it before, but they make it better, so you have to look for inspiration and make your own art, compatible with you phisycal, technical and mental abilities. There is no magic formula to become a professional, just hard work, being smart and be constantly learning and improving.

Bluefox I know for sure is right. he knows what he is talking about. One last thing kid if ur serious about being a pro u need know people that know people ya know? Blue fox is very right surround urself in soccer and never ever give no matter how much u see other people play or tell u otherwise. Also be realistic about this, these pros practice almost anytime they can . Don't get injured either. Don't get cocky but know ur good

Matt, that answer is nothing but fluff, and stupid, too. Private coach? LOL! You played a lot of sports, I can tell.

Practice, practice, practice...then practice some more. Probably a good idea of getting private coaching and learning how the pros train from people who have trained pro soccer players. If you really want to go pro, you will have to live and breathe soccer.
