The atmosphere does do that so you are right to a certain degree. However, there is a fine line between being the right temperature and to hot. We have rain forests close to the equator where it is hot. We also have Saudi Arabia? The middle east has area's where it is to hot to even grow plants. If a hot house gets over a certain temperature, I have to put up fans to blow out the hot air and cool it down or everything dies. Even swamp coolers are used to put moisture and cool air in the hot house. But what if we didn't do that and it just kept heating up?
