What is the meaning of the following "Your email address is not linked to a Yahoo ID. To join this group, you need to link your email addres?

I am getting the emails from the group but when I go to the groups homepage it shows me not being a member. When I go to join I get that message "Your email address is not linked ...show more

There are two kinds of Yahoo Group membership. You can be a member of the email list, which will allow you to send messages to, and receive messages from, the group, but it will not allow you to access the group's website and its content. To access website content you need to have a Yahoo ID linked to your account.
