How do I get max power out of my amp?

How do I wire one 2ohs with a switch to change it to 1 or 4 omhs to my 1800 watt kac 9105 amp to get max power?

  • Answer:

yeaaaa if it's a monoblock you cant change the resistance if you can bridge it then yes you can change it bridging usually will double it's standard ohm's and along with n2a if you run a parallel circut on a dual coil you can half it's resistance or in sequence and double it but thats just the sub not the amp google use it

in order to wire one sub to different impedances the sub would have to have dual voice coils. To go from 1 to 4 it would need to be a dual 2 ohm voice coil.
