  I didn't like Al's answer, although it was correct. The benefit of a deep cycle battery, which does have less power theoretically, is that if it does run down at some point, it can just be recharged. A normal battery that is run dead will stay dead and often end up killing the alternator, as the alternator tries in vain to recharge it and overheats. Your course of action here, though, is to get a beefed up alternator and not care so much about the battery. The battery is used only for starting the car, and powering accessories while the car is off, so mostly you won't be using it. If you must park and boom, consider installing a couple of batteries in parallel.
