How many watts can a 8 gauge amp cable handle?

Subs can handle 600 watts rms but have a 250 watt amp?

Currently my subs cut out at higher volume and assuming grounding and proper gauge wires isn't an issue, would a bigger amp solve this and how much better would it be? Currently ...show more

David said it all, I'll just add this.. The reason it sucks is because you have low quality products. Those kicker subs are single voice coil 4 ohms, so two of them wired at 2 ohms will be 300rms. Your amp is probably doing 150-200. Get a Kicker DX300.2 (08DX300.2) and good luck.
