How many watts can a 8 gauge amp cable handle?

Subs can handle 600 watts rms but have a 250 watt amp?

    David said it all, I'll just add this.. The reason it sucks is because you have low quality products. Those kicker subs are single voice coil 4 ohms, so two of them wired at 2 ohms will be 300rms. Your amp is probably doing 150-200. Get a Kicker DX300.2 (08DX300.2) and good luck.
