  • Answer:

First the 60 x 4 mean's you have a 4 channel A/B style Amplifier for Mid's and High's that is able to put out 60 Continuous RMSw's Per channel at 4 Ohm's if it's an external Amplifier if's it's numbers from the face plate of your Stereo it's a different story, your lucky if it's making 18 Continuous RMSw's per channel x's 4.Now the lower Ohm's load come's into play when your running a Sub or a set of Sub's they can be wired to a desired Ohm's load depending on the Ohm load of the Sub woofer you start out with and how many you plan on using is a factor in the Ohm load you end up putting on the Amplifier you run,a class D Amplifier is best for running a Sub or set of Sub's. Youtube in the car audio section will help better then a question at a time. Youtube then understanding Ohm's. Or try this Rockford site (RF TECH WOOFER WIRING WIZARD) Google it it's a good site to use when you plan on wiring a Sub or Sub's to a class D Amplifier making sure it's safe for both Amp and Sub or Sub's.
