Hi the issue is about volume and making the internal structure like a folded horn. as sound travels at 1500 feet per second the sound coming from the back of the speaker cone needs to coincide with the front so it is going to be one huge structure to bring it down to 28hz. the box need to be at least 1.5 times the depth of the speakers diameter.the front or baffle needs to be 4 times the surface area of the speaker itself. all coming down to a 4 inch port. these are how transmission line speakers are made. it is all in the cabinet design made from at least 2 inch timber so it will weigh a lot. so if this was for inside a car it would not be practical. so time to be making the boom box as almost impossible to pick up so the air from the back can not escape. it however still needs to be just as huge at the front.
