Did you access your Yahoo Mail account at yahoo.com? If you attempted to access it at a different URL (for instance one with yahoo.cn in the URL), then this could cause this behavior. Make sure you're accessing your account at: https://mail.yahoo.com Additionally, I recommend reading the following Yahoo! Mail Help article "Basic Browser Troubleshooting" for help clearing your Web browser's cache which may also have something to do with this.
