Answer:
Password issues can be browser-related. I'd clear your browser's cookies and cache, close your browser, and then open it again before trying to reset your password. Passwords shouldn't be changed more than once every 24 hours. Clearing browser's cache and cookies - https://help.yahoo.com/kb/yahoo-account/SLN4525.html?impressions=true You can also try using a different browser to see if that allows you to change your password. Password change issues can also be the result of using ad blockers or pop-up blockers. You should disable these options before you can change your password. Changing your security questions - https://help.yahoo.com/kb/mail/SLN2031.html?impressions=true I recommend using a password manager like Keepass or LastPass to create and store strong unique passwords for the sites you visit. You can also save notes like your secret questions and answers to the password entries. LastPass can automatically log you in to any web site you have stored in its database.

The only official phone number is 1-800-318-0612 (login help). and is only for account access issues. Any other number is a private company that will charge for service. https://help.yahoo.com/kb/helpcentral [from Yahoo staff] That number is the only number available for support. Our phone team only assists with account access issues. All other issues will be directed to the help pages and the 'Contact us for Product Issues' link on those pages. I can assure you that contacting us via email will result in a response, written by a human being who is trained to assist with your issue. I highly recommend you use that path when available. We hope to have phone support for other issues in the future but at this time, we simply do not have the resources to accommodate assisting with the 50+ products Yahoo has on it's website.
