If you have an AT&T Yahoo account but no longer have AT&T as your ISP then you need to contact them and ask them to unmerge your Yahoo account from AT&T so that Yahoo can assist you. First you said "Yahoo incorrectly thinks ATT is my provider". Then you said you can change you att.net password and did. If Yahoo is incorrect in thinking ATT is your provider, how could you possibly change your att.net password if they are not your provider??? Clearly AT&T IS your provider. When I had AT&T as my provider, my Yahoo! account was connected to AT&T. When I canceled my AT&T account, I automatically lost the Yahoo! account. I actually had the Yahoo! account before I AT&T was my provider. When AT&T (previously SBC) became my provider, that Yahoo! account automatically became connected to my ISP. You can not separate your Yahoo! account fro your AT&T account.
