  I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with updates made to specific lists within Yahoo Contacts. Recent changes made to lists may not be immediately reflected when adding lists to an outgoing email by typing the name of that list into the 'To' field. These changes should be updated after a short period of time, however. If this issue continues please contact our email support team directly so that you can provide the specific list names with which this is happening as well as the names of the contacts that should or shouldn't be showing up in the outgoing email.
