  • Answer:

Are you coming on Working Holiday Visas? You will not be allowed to drive buses or do any other work in Australia if you are not. You can find the details here: http://www.immi.gov.au/Visas/Pages/417.aspx Drivers licences in Australia are issued by each State and Territory. A licence in one State allows you to drive anywhere and you can also drive on an International Driving Permit. In most States, your UK licence is fine but you need the international permit as well in South Australia. If you are going to be in one place for a while, it would be worth getting a licence for that State. Mostly all that is required is for you to pass the written part of the driving test, you must know the Australian road rules, but I think (but am not sure) that a practical test is required for a bus licence and certainly for a school bus licence.
