Income tax in France?

Do i pat tax in france on my uk income if i live in france?

  • I have both a teachers and state pension. I live permanently in france I pay tax in the uk and france on my income is this correct

  • Answer:

Yes of course you do. Dual taxation agreement applies - you need to sort this put with the French Tax Authority as that is your residence. Generally the tax deducted in one country is credited in the other but you have to talk to the French Tax Authority.

You need to talk to a tax advisor. It depends on whether you're "resident" or "domicile".

As far as I know you only pay income tax to the government of a country in which you reside.
