What is a benefit of getting points on Yahoo Answer?

  • Is there any kind of benefit I get while some one answer to my question or I ask question on Yahoo. What Yahoo is giving points?

  • Answer:

Points have no monetary value and there are no prizes, no cigars no nada, it's really just the satisfaction of helping others, no strings attached, or possibly bragging rights (big deal). There are seven levels, more points give you more participation rights so it can also be an ego thing and keep us interested. Honestly no benefit at all. Im guilty of wasting lots of time for something that has no returns or rewards. At least if you're studying in a university, there is a big reward in the end -- a career The main objective is to reach maximum participation level which is 160 answers a day. Once you achieve that the points are really nothing but pixels on a computer screen For these pixels, many have lost their accounts or received too many violations or simply wasted their lives Helping is good but at the cost of neglecting your life it's no more a desirable activity. The best answers have dried up for many or they require very high quality answers over and over again (not the copy/pasted same answer but original thoughts) The truth is points have no real world value or real world recognition. So these are pointless points and that's the real answer. Even if you reach 160 answer limit a day, chances are it will be too much to handle unless you are an insomniac like me who never gets tired

You can answer MORE questions, ask MORE questions and send out MORE personal emails per day the higher your account level is. THAT is the benefit of getting points and moving up the levels. EACH QUESTION COSTS 5 points.. Yes, you CAN fall back a level. "...Levels Levels are another way to keep track of how active you (and others) have been. The more points you accumulate, the higher your level. Yahoo Answers recognizes your level achievements with our special brand of thank you's And finally, as you attain higher levels, you'll also be able to contribute more to Yahoo Answers - you can ask, answer and rate more frequently. Level Points Questions Answers Follows 7 25000+ 20 160 100 6 10000-24999 20 160 100 5 5000-9999 20 160 100 4 2500-4999 20 160 100 3 1000-2499 15 120 100 2 250-999 10 80 100 1 1-249 5 20 100..." https://answers.yahoo.com/info/scoring_system Hmmmm, seems the Comments feature has been terminated.
