How can I delete a question I've asked on Yahoo answers? if by deactivating the account, how can I deactivate it?

You can only delete open questions with no best answer, if you don't do it before then, it's locked in. Directly below your question there is an X. Use that to delete your question. You can make your account private which will make it your question unviewable to most viewers, but not your fans and contacts, they can still see it. Unfortunately Yahoo has made some changes. Now, once answered the delete button is removed and you can't delete your questions. Before you have an answer, next to the add update pencil click the x delete button. If you are too late,emailing the YA team is no longer a possibility they have removed the post on the suggestion board. Now, All you can do is hope it is reported as a violation even resolved questions can be removed that way. Even if you could close your YA account which you really can't or closed your email account your questions and answers remain on the site.
