Do things i ask on yahoo answers get sent to my email contacts?

Each individual account is set by its user to either announce its Yahoo! Answer's contact's questions/answers through email, or not. All you can do is disallow your account to have contacts, in order to keep them from receiving emails that they may --or, may not-- have their accounts set so as to receive them. At least, that is my understanding of the situation. I'm not sure who or what you are referring to by: 'email contacts'.

Scroll / scan down to "Privacy Settings “ 4.Go to “Answers community 5.. Click the button to the the left of "By email" until there is a check mark on the button. 6. Change the "Visible to everyone" drop down boxes to "Visible to only me". You can also enable Yahoo messenger by clicking on that button until it has check mark 6... VERY important. Click "Save." at the bottom lower left. Computers are dumb. They may auto-save stuff every so often automatically, but until and unless you TELL a computer network save something, it will NOT be saved.. are emailed when your ask questions on YA.
