Can I delete my Yahoo question?

What can I add to my question to get yahoo to delete it?

  • There's a question that I really want removed, and I can't delete it since it already has an answer. I know Yahoo will remove a question if it has inappropriate content. I ...show more

  • Answer:

If you email other users to solicit their help by reporting your questions, you can be suspended for harassment if someone turns you in. Yahoo! will only delete (at request) a question or answer if it contains information by which you could be personally identified. The way to request that a question be removed is to email a link to the question to: [email protected] (missing 'e' in answrs is correct) and ask to have the question deleted. If, in the meantime, your question is reported and deleted (3? Or was it 4?), do not appeal the violations. Not really sure what you're up to, but in some questions you describe yourself as a 17-year old high school junior, while in others you say you are a 19-year old college student? Which is it? Are you a minor claiming to be an adult? Or an adult claiming to be a minor? One way or another you are misrepresenting yourself, which can also get you suspended. You should probably be a little more careful in how you use this site.

post irrelevant chat to those who answered under Update but unless a reporter sees it and agrees it is enough to warrant reporting, it will remain I'm not going to recommend that you post something offensive Yahoo does not delete violations, we, the Community Moderators, and we all are moderators, report and delete violating content unless you want the post to be reported for solicitation and abuse of the question/answer forum, do not post a question with a link to your question, asking or even hinting that you want us to report it do not email a TC in this category who happens to have their email enabled as they may not like this one bit and report you to staff you will have to hope someone comes across your question and sees a violation and reports and deletes it you asked a question two weeks ago about why you can't delete a question after it receives one answer so you already knew you couldn't delete your question once it was answered so why did you post it?

Just chat with users about irrelevant stuff in your "update", but really you've added enough... Yahoo doesn't remove questions, users do... users will report your question if they deem it as "inappropriate". The best thing you could do is go and message users (email), send them the link to that question you want deleted, and then say, "can you report this question please?"... many users won't bother reporting it, but I'm sure some will.
